Bill’s Week 42 Photo by Bill · October 16, 2022 Stonehenge Memorial – Washington The Stonehenge Memorial is a full-scale replica of the ancient Stonehenge in England. It was built by Samuel Hill as a memorial to the 14 soldiers from Klickitat County, Washington who died in service in WW1. The memorial was constructed with reinforced concrete. It was dedicated in 1918 and was completed in 1929. Stonehenge Memorial is near Maryhill, Washington, situated on a cliff overlooking the Columbia River.
